Since working at MCA suspension in Queensland Murray Coote and I have teamed up to make some air jacks, they turned out really nice and I’ve decided to run them on the Hilux as its going to be a hassle getting a jack under all this alloy panelling.
I have cut the holes in the chassis and made collars for them to screw into, i just have to get some locking rings and weld them in, time to add Nitrogen to the list of gas bottles i own.
Ive been putting a lot of hours into finishing off a lot of the welding aswell, the engine bay is basically finished now.
Amazimg!!! Just love the air jacks! Can’t waith to see more
you’re not serious unless you have airjacks, this thing keeps getter better!
Now your just being cocky, love it. car is far from finished but is already amazing!
Are mca selling them Nigel?
Nigel, are you keeping an eye on the overall weight of the truck?
Im trying to make things as well engineered as possible, as far as weight goes i have no idea, 1050kg with driver would be cool.
This is just insane! I’m hoping the first drift event is somewhere in qld for this so I can come and see it in person! Amazing work as usual!
Nitrogen apparently makes a great gas for filling tires with too. An old-school racer told me that, it’s supposed to help maintain a cooler temperature inside the tire when you’re running them hard on the track… or something like that..
