180SX – Reflections Part 1

My 180SX has seen so much action over the 3 years i’ve owned it, lets take a look at the highs and lows over those years!

The day i picked it up, it had the S15 5 stud, was red (well kinda), BeeR B5 rims, decent clutch and Tien Winding way Drift spec coilovers. All boxs ticked and now it just needed some love!

In good health after a respray from the guys at DT Panels and a tune by the master Dr Drift, i didnt have time to swap the gearbox for a Z32 item so the S14 box only lasted half the day thanks to the big twin plate Ogura clutch.

The R33 drum brake setup made handbraking a pain so i made a hydro hbrake setup for the car, its was one of the best additions as it made driving a lot easier.

Driving for the Insane Drifters was a blast, we had a great time together and the car aesthetically started to go down hill.

We travelled everywhere for drifting, this was the first time i had drifted overseas (Tassie)

The car stayed in Tasmania and i did another two Baskerville days, great track and great fun!

I switched to 18s on the rear as i found they gave me more feel and drive, plus they looked right on the 180SX!

The car started gaining more and more character the rougher it got, mechanically it was perfect but the body took most of the abuse. The white lip around the bar actually extended to the X Memeber holding the bumper together.

Thats it for part 1, many more to come
