This is why i stopped driving my car on sunday afternoon, no wonder the power dropped off significantly. Now to work out if i want to try and repair it or get another one done from steam pipe.
It appears 6Boost’s claims are substantiated. I remember Kyle claiming on a forum somewhere that stainless has a greater tendancy to crack due to thermal expansion and contraction, specifically on the outside of welds.
As Sam said, staino is not up to the task with the heat cycles it goes through on a manifold, rapid expansion (really, really rapid) when it grows it has nowhere to go. I suggest another steampipe manifold. Once the stainless has been welded. It wont be long till you need to pull it off and weld again.
