MTB 2 Speed Project
Once we understand the fabrication processes and begin to build our skills anything and everything becomes a possibility. Like many people, I had been using the lack of travel ability to enjoy more time on my bike and I was sick of having that clunky derailleur causing me problems out on the trail.
So I decided to have some fun with this and make a small project detailing the processes used to build a 2 speed mountain bike, I affectionately call it the Powerglide, now I can easily hand shift the bike to go up hills when I need and have a trouble free, quiet and light bike to be able bomb down hills at speed.
