Japan Day 9 – Ebisu Circuit

Well what can i say about Ebisu? It was amazing, if you know anyone who has ever been there then you would have heard the stories. If you havnt then ill try and explain it in this post.

When you come in the gates to Ebisu you have two options, to see the wildlife or to drift, it just amazes me that theres a safari park in between race circuits, japan cirtainly is the expect the unexpected.

Powervehicles is located at Ebisu now and is run by two of the nicest people we have met, Andy and Emily (her S14 above) they helped so many people out during our week at Ebisu and we cant thank them enough for there devoted time and patiance with all that was going on. You want to drift at Ebisu? Talk to Powervehicles they can assist you with everything you need.

Battered cars lay everywhere at Ebisu, they had cars parked everywhere, some where still being used and some where left to die, it was a sad sight seeing so many dead drift cars.

The south course known as Minami was always the place to be, you want to see action then Minami had it, it had this menacing vibe about it, it was kind of intimidating, huge respect to the guys that go all out on it (more action later)

We drove down to take a look at the action, our hire cars did some miles around Ebisu and we would have been lost withought them.

Ebisu is open all week and most of the year, yep thats right, just rock up, pay your small fee and be in drift heaven. The freedom you have at Ebisu is second to none, you can do what you want to do and your safety is in your own hands, a deffinate sign that the Japanese are responsible people.

You never know what your going to see on any day.

From total beginners to experts your garenteed to leave a better driver than you arrived.

This 86 on DemonCambers looked great

The school course was perfect, just make sure you dont drop off because the ditches wernt too forgiving. Its at this stage i started hurting for a car. Imagine loving drift as much as i do and looking at the tarmac, unused and ready to be covered in rubber, i wanted to drive so bad, ill be back soon though.

Thats it for Day 9, Casey and i packed up and headed for Nikko again on day 10 so look out for some great action in the next post. You will see heaps more of Ebisu in the coming days as we spent the rest of the week there.
