DREAM.BUILD.DRIVE from Matte Media on Vimeo.
Dream Build Drive is Matthew Cox’s quest to give you some insight into the journey that has been my life for the last 8 months, building the car presented many challenges, getting it over that mental finishing line by driving it the way I had designed it to be driven presented a whole raft of far more complex personal challenges that took both Matthew and I into the unknown.
Sit down, grab a drink and enjoy Dream Build Drive.

awesome video about an even better car and driver well done
thanks I appreciate it.
absolutely amazing, so happy to see your dream become reality.
Great Film!! A true inspiration, Loved watching the build photos and now to have seen this flick. Would love to see it ‘in the flesh’! Well done mate.
Thanks Karl, Im keen to get it out and about so hopefully everyone gets a chance.
I’m glad to hear you will be out and about in it! and Drifting it!! The one thing that has always frustrated me, is people that spend tens of thousands on ‘show cars’ and all they do is sit there to be viewed. I really loved watching (and going for rides) my mates in the grassroots drift scene back home in NZ. There really isn’t anything better than watching someone go through great highs and depressing lows. To then watch them have the time of their life on the track when it all works out. Even just one day every few months! Its elation and fun in one of it’s purest forms!
Inspirational to say the least
What a masterpiece.
An amazing story captured by an amazing film. I’ve been following your progress since the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what you do in the future 🙂
Thanks for following Rhys
A stunning film to show that the dreams of a talented individual can come to fruition through hard work, learning & dedication. Well done Nigel & Matt Cox

An absolute masterpiece of a film, the best car film I have ever seen, let alone drift film. I almost had a tear after the heartbreak of wtac and seeing Nigel so broken. Thank you so much for creating and sharing. Inspirational.
Thanks Mitchell, I did too.
amazing film, amazing driver and an amazing dream he followed til the end. Gives me such inspiration to finish my gf8 wagon 22bsti swap and really get into time attack, can’t wait to have a good garage with a lift like that to really get down to business. Thanks Nigel keep it goin for everyone!
All the best Cody, thanks for the comments
A true inspiration is putting it mildly! One can only wish to be half as talented as you are Nigel.
Great Shop… Great Builds… Great Blog… And Great Film!
Keep it up… My mates and I in Canada love your work.
Thanks for the kind words
well done mate, well freaking done.
Such an articulate, creative, genuine and intelligent dude. I don’t care much for cars and I still watched it to the end. Many drivers, and enthusiasts should take a few lessons in humility from Nigel.
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words.
Wow! Finishing that video felt like reading the last chapter of a really good book that took 3 years to read. I’m left with a feeling of great satisfaction and yet sense of loss. I want more. Nige’ you are the man. Can’t wait for the next chapter.
Thanks AJ im so happy you enjoyed it, ill endeavour to bring you more.

Thank you very much for the inspiration, Nigel!
This really helped me motivate to continue where my Honda Jazz left off after it was sold…
And thanks to you, I might also start buliding a drift tube-chassis of my own hahahaha…
Been following this build for quite some time! What an inspiration! Great job! Greetings from Sweden!
Hey Nigel great build you have motivated me to finish my project …and that you can do anything you set your mind to. I really believe that also.
Best way to kill 54:31mins really enjoyable an a credit to you an your lux. Time to hit the shed n rethink my el xr8 build, this doco has my brain ticking.
I remember first seeing this at WTAC 2013, back then I hadn’t heard of you before or what you had created. I just remember seeing this amazing masterpiece, as I walked around it I was so gob smacked, all the little bits, the tube frame etc got me so amazed! I thought this was just your regular ‘stance’ car whatnot, but then I heard it gets sideways, man that is crazy. Shame I never got to take photos of it in action, really hope I get to do so next time you’re in Sydney. I hope you’re coming to WTAC this year!
Didn’t know much about you or your car prior to watching this clip but seriously! hats off man. I dont think I am alone in saying that I lost myself for 54mins re-living my “should’ves” through your story. Thanks for sharing the journey mate! awesome vid, spot on attitude and such a wicked ride. Cheers!
Wow, what an awesome journey. Glad to see it all worked out so well, Congrats Nigel and thanks for the motivational build! Truly One-of-a-Kind!
