The long awaited and saved for Quaife QBE69G gearbox arrived tonight, It was a good chance to get some critical measurements and plan the next steps.
This box didn’t come from the UK Quaife factory though, it came from Sydney, the last owners race category rules changed before he got the chance to use it. As soon as I unboxed it I made sure my clutch splines were correct and the input shaft was the one I needed. Details were a little shaky as the previous owner couldn’t give me much information. Im glad everything suits.
I have a new shifter attachment on its way from the UK, the great thing about these transmissions is they are designed for modular motorsport use and suit just about any layout, Quaife have 6 different shifters that span over half a meter forward and back available of the shelf and they are great to deal with.
