I spent a couple of hours this afternoon removing the motor from the S13, as you may have read in a previous post this motor is getting pulled down to a bare long motor and then all the parts for the ute will be fitted, tuned and tested in the S13 chassis before it all goes into the hilux chassis.
Im actually really glad I’m doing this as this motor (internally) is the best of the best but the ancillaries let it down, i have learnt a lot in the 5 years since i built it and look forward to getting the car on the dyno with the new manifolds, Haltech ECU and other bits and pieces.
What turbo manifold setup is the hilux running nigel?
I run BRAE exhaust manifolds, they work really well and last a lifetime.
hey man, just wondering who makes your manifolds, ive been after one for a while now, any help would be good thanks man
I get BRAE manifolds, hit the link in the sponsors page.
everything you post is so bafflingly clean! it honestly looks like you’re building top-notch trailer queen show cars. it’s absolutely incredible that the SR on the left has actually been powering a full-fledged drift car for the last few years!
this blog is automotive porn. please keep doing this stuff forever. thanks.
Any chance you could snap a pic of the low mount ps pump? I need some inspiration to do it n mine.
And ute is looking awesome. Keep it up.
Hey Nigel, how does the shed go now that it’s winter, bit chilly? Thinking of adding any insulation?
It gets cold Anth, probably could do with some heating but the welder keeps me warm 🙂
hey nig are you using a ross tuffbond metal jacket on the sr on the right, red rocker cover?
does that te37 have a mad convex dent at the top left?
