A quiet couple of weeks

The last couple of weeks have been fairly quiet around the ETS HQ!  If you want to know the finer details then read on.

Well I had been working on moving to a new HQ, buying a block of land out of town and setting up my dream shed that I could live in, house all of my cars and work away the hours in, you see I love to be busy, if I am not busy then im not happy. What burst my bubble was the realisation that I cant afford to go through with the idea.

So here I sit with the realisation that things have to go backward to keep going forward, I don’t want to stop drifting, i don’t want to stop building the ETS drift ute, i don’t want to stop dreaming but im going to have to change the way i do things to cement ETS’s future.

So with that i apologise for things being a little quiet around here, but hopefully this time next year you will see the best garage build up the internet has seen as well as constant updates on all of my builds.

  5. Don’t feel bad Nigel. I’ve been chafing at the bit to build a race car, but had no where to do it. I couldn’t even store my street car! So the cars took a back seat while we built a house – and now handover is just a week or two away – and it will be worth the wait!

While you’re saving and not spending money on the cars, you can stay in touch by helping mates out and perhaps just doing the odd day here and there rather than the full season.

Having said all that, I did manage to stockpile a nice range of parts for when the race car project begins!

Don’t forget to check out http://www.garagejournal.com for some awesome ideas – and they’d love to see your build up as well! 🙂

  6. I know the feeling mate, while I don’t have the (very impressive) builds or motivation that you do, but I know the feeling of having your dreams shattered by a nasty bank manager. Keep the chin up and I’m sure something will sort itself out for you 😉
