Reflections Part 4 finishes off the 09 season, the above was the aftermath of a good time in Sydney!
After a lot of work and a new genuine URAS kit it was back to clean again, i had an unregistered vehicle permit on it at this stage so i drove it to work and around town, pure fun!
We had a car show for charity at work, there wernt too many “plastic cars” on display so it was nice to give it a different vibe with my pair of S13s
The very next day was Drift Attack at Winton so we loaded up and headed north.
It was a pretty successful day and i ended up getting 3rd place and having a heap of fun behind the wheel
The very next weekend i headed west to Adelaide to drive in a G1 comp, Mallala is a fun track and it was great to drive there again.
A couple of weeks after Adelaide it was time to head south on the overnight ferry, i came up with a pretty silly idea of a tire rack and driving the car the entire journey down to Hobart and back.
I tore the front bumper off getting on the boat, the car was super low from all the weight packed inside it.
My good friend Jake Jones and i drove our cars every where, to the event, back to our accommodation, to get food, to get fuel absolutely everywhere. Its a whole day of driving to get from the Ferry to Hobart and we clocked up a lot of miles in our race cars. We had a blast and its something i will never forget.
There was no taking it easy of the two days of competition, the car held together the entire journey after a long two days of thrashing.
So the end of 09 was here and the car was in for a major overhaul, it was a pretty full on year with a lot of driving done. My plan to fix what breaks and drive as much as possible was in full effect and i learnt to drive a lot better in 09.
