I first met Josh in Tasmania at Symmons Plains raceway, i was blown away by the fact that he and his family travelled from QLD to compete at that event, so to see Josh in New Zealand does not come as a shock for me.
You see Josh is one of those guys that competes for the love of the sport, his father Murray always comes along to help and has the background knowledge to help Josh in his quest for the podium position. Travelling to NZ to compete just shows the dedication these guys have for competition when it dries up on home soil.
You watch Josh drive and it just seems different to anyone else, you get a sense of control as he works the wheel in fine adjustments to pick the perfect line.
The setup on the car seems just right and Josh and his fathers hard work was paying off. It wasnt to be and Josh was forced to pull out in the battles.
From what i could see Josh’s qualifying runs were spot on, just look at the amount of rubber he lays down compared to everyone else! Those MCA shocks sure do make the difference.
