ETS Drift Ute – More bar work

Its a good feeling to be progressing at this rate, with a date set for international media and competition i cant afford to slack off. 15 meters of 1 3/4 tube is already used up and now im on to the 1 1/2 tube. The bars completed so far are the main hoop, the rearward cradle mounts, the front legs and the dash bar. Theres still another 22 meters of tube to be added everywhere before the ute rolls out the shed holding its own weight. At that stage the chassis jig will be transformed into a rolling rotisserie and the final welding will be done.

  1. More pics of the frame! 🙂
Have you moved up the suspension anything?

    • The suspension is all raised right up in the body, imagine an S15 with the whole floor cut out and the body dropped a foot over the floor, essentially thats what this is!

  10. Do you have a tube bender? Or did you get these done outside your garage?

    • Hi Peter, i built my own using speedwerx dies, works a treat. If i cant do something at home then ill make a tool so that i can. Nothing on this build will be outsourced 🙂
